Alright, it's time to launch the course. Why do we even need this video? Of course you're gonna release your course, uh, but this is step by step. And at this step I'll explain to you what I do. So in my self-hosted platform, I go to, I wait for the exact time. So 10:00 AM on 22nd of February, Pacific Standard time, whatever your launch date is, go into your self-hosted platform and tick the box that says Make public instructor.
HQ just says a little box that says, make public. And yeah, then it's live for people to actually go. And the cool thing about that is that that pre-sales page is now the actual course page magically. Okay? So they, you don't have to go out and update any URLs. That exact same pre-registration that you might have been advertising earlier is now the course.
And yeah, so, uh, you make it live. You send out the emailer that you prepared earlier. You send out kind of any graphics that you've got for social media, you drop it. This is where you let everyone know it's ready and you spend the rest of the night going through refreshing, refreshing, refreshing your webpage to see whether you've had any sales, how many sales, any questions. I often have to get ready at this stage for problems. Not, not like serious problems.
Often there can be like, Hey, uh, the exercise file link isn't working, and you're like, oh, whoops. You know, something's wrong with it and you go and fix it. So that first kind of hour or so is critical. Um, just to make sure the course is running well and quite exciting as well to see whether your course launches. Don't worry if it's not a big who fly at the beginning, especially when you're new. It's gonna be a slow, steady stream.
But launch day is, yeah, it's exciting for you. Personal achievement done. Um, now I launch on my own site as well at the exact same time I relaunch on the marketplaces. So we have to separate them in this course. Okay? So, um, 'cause we can't watch two videos at once, but I will be getting it ready on my own platform as well as any other marketplaces that are useful for me.
So Udemy and Skillshare are the biggest ones for me. So I'll be ready with all three things, launching them all at the same time. And that is launch time. Done. Let's, uh, check out the next video. Hooray.
