I have previously completed a BYOL course on Udemy / Skillshare - how can I earn my certificate on BYOL.com?
First you need to be a current member here at BYOL.com. If you've previously completed one of our courses over on Udemy or Skillshare this is how you can get your BYOL certificates for those, now you're a member of our community.
1. Check that we have certificates available on the course. A full list of our courses that currently have certificates are listed on this page.
2. You'll need to upload all your Class Projects for the course into the My Projects area in your account. You can find more about how to do this by visiting the course on our website and watching the 'How to earn my certificate' video lesson.
3. When all your work is uploaded you can 'Request your certificate'. We have a video in the course for that too - 'How to request your certificate', it'll be towards the end of the course for you to follow.
4. You'll then need to email Stephen, our Head of Student Zen here at BYOL, and attach your Udemy certificate or if you completed the course on Skillshare - a screenshot that shows you've completed the course. Email Stephen at: [email protected]
I already have a pass certificate, how do I earn my merit certificate?
If you’d like to upgrade your pass certificate to a shiny new merit certificate simply revisit the course and look for the quiz questions in the course contents. Complete the quiz questions and answer enough questions correctly to pass the quiz.
When you’ve passed the quiz you can request your upgraded certificate from the quiz summary page. We will email you when your certificate has been updated in your account.
I already have a merit certificate, how do I earn my distinction certificate?
If you’d like to upgrade your certificate to a shiny new distinction certificate simply revisit the course and look for the distinction certificate project lesson. You’ll also find a brief for the distinction project in the course downloads. When you’ve uploaded your distinction project you can request your new certificate from the ‘My Projects’ area. We will email you when your certificate has been updated in your account.
