I discovered the world of design as an art student when I stumbled upon a lab full of green & blue iMac G3’s. My initial curiosity around using the computer to create ‘art’ developed into a full-blown passion, eventually leading me to become a digital designer and founder of Bring Your Own Laptop.

One day they're gonna invent a feature  where you just click on something  and say, remove the background please. And it does, and it does a real good job. Oh my goodness. It's new for 2020. Version of Photoshop. Remove background, just does the job quick.

It's easy. There's a couple of steps you need to do because  otherwise I'd be out of a job if they make this any easier. Uh, so let's jump in now and I'll show you how to do it. It's remove background time. Alright, to get started, let's go to file. Let's go to open and open up image, uh, image two.

Cool. Click open. And we want to remove the background. So, cool. New feature in Photoshop 2020 or in the future. Okay, we are gonna use this feature called  Just remove the background.

Okay. To make it work though. Okay? It doesn't operate fine, uh, unless you,  'cause it appears in this properties panel,  so it doesn't work 'cause the background is locked. It's always locked, weirdly, uh, to rename it, okay? Or to remove the lock, you just rename it.

Double click background, call it anything you like. Call it my latte. Okay? And now if you scroll down in my properties panel,  if you can't see properties, go a window,  got properties, make sure the tick's on. You should see it. And there's this magic one.

Hold on Wai. That was quick and easy and good. It's not, we're, we're not gonna zoom in real far. Well, let's zoom in. Come on Dan. But you can see, look at that edge.

There's a little bit of stuff over here,  but like, in terms of like, man, that's magic. Um, yours is probably gonna be better than mine. I'm using the beta copy of the software  and a couple of versions back. It was not good. And every time I get the new version  or the new updates, it gets better and better. So good things have got too easy in Photoshop.

You used to have to earn it. You used to have  to spin ages using las tools  and uh, magic wand tools plus minusing. You remember the days? I do. Anyway, all right, that was a short one. Good one.
