Hello everyone, it is not homework time, it's fun class project time... it's very different... I want you to make a video card, like we did in the last videos... the video, well, it looks like this... the requirements are, it needs to have a video title, it needs to... I want you to make the one that has the toggle Play/Pause button...
so when it goes, you know, the Play turns into the minus, '-'... sorry, the Play turns into the Pause. I want it to work, have a Mute button there as well... and what I want you to do for the final one is actually have... I want it to be a component that could be reused... so I want you to kind of show it as two separate videos...
what videos? Hopefully they're in line with your project, because we're building that... but if you need pugs in your life, go do that too. So it's the same component but just two instances with different videos in it... what I want you to do is, before you go and just... kind of copy what we've done already...
have a look at other video players... there's not a lot you can do but there is some more... you know, I want you to be more interesting than... I don't know, just exactly what I did, wasn't very inspired... and what I've done is I've put places that I would go and have a look now... you're looking for the word Video Player UI...
or Video Card, or Video UX, and that's what I did. So I went and had a look at Dribbble... had some good results on kind of different things, and Play buttons... and it's all very nice... I had a look at Behance as well, I typed in "Video Player UI"... and other couple of sites that you might not have used...
screenlane.com, it's pretty cool... I just typed in "video", and kind of had a little look through... and found some good stuff... and Page Collective was another good one... just things I've stumbled across recently-ish... that I'm using to kind of get ideas for UI...
I've put links to them here in your Class Projects. So the deliverables are, like normal... take a screenshot or screen video, screencast... screen recording, it's probably the word... and upload it to Vimeo, YouTube, or Behance, then share a link of that... of you interacting with a card...
just you clicking the Play button, Pause button, Mute button... and upload that link to the Assignment section... also, this is one of those ones where I'd love to see it on social media. So upload it, tag me, and also use the #FigmaAdvanced... if anybody asks where you're doing it, come, send them my way... and remember, this is a nice one...
where you can comment on somebody's work, a little bit of feedback. All right, that is it, enjoy the class project... and I'll see you in the next video, in a bit... after you finished your project, all right.
